This skincare product from Naturium is a leave on liquid exfoliant formulated with a blend of alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids.

Whether you’re dealing with clogged pores or fine lines, you may benefit from adding this product to your skincare routine.

It’s gentle, effective at treating acne, and an overall great product at an affordable price point.

Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant Ingredients

Naturium’s BHA is an all-star line up of effective ingredients clinically proven to help with uneven texture and signs of aging:

  • Encapsulated salicylic acid

  • Bioactive fruit acids

  • Citric acid

This product also includes hydrating ingredients like glycerin which make salicylic acid less irritating for people with dry skin.

Preservatives in this formula include sodium polyacrylate and sodium phytate.

Encapsulated Salicylic Acid

A popular form of beta hydroxy acid, salicylic acid is a phenomenal ingredient to reduce uneven skin texture and help unclog pores.

Bioactive Fruit Acids

This skincare product includes a few ingredients to help even out your skin tone like:

  • Citrus glauca fruit extract

  • Microcitrus australasica fruit extract

  • Microcitrus australis fruit extract

While Naturium BHA liquid exfoliant won’t be as effective at brightening skin as mandelic acid, it is still a great product for oily skin.

Naturium BHA Review

Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% with lid open

Naturium BHA has a light, watery texture that absorbs super quickly. It layers well under moisturizer and doesn’t pill.

Because the texture is so watery, you can apply this product with either your palms or a cotton pad.

I prefer just using my hands.

One of my favorite things about Naturium products are that they’re all fragrance free.

If you have sensitive skin like me, you understand how important that is!

Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant vs Paula’s Choice

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

Both Naturium and Paula’s Choice make 2% salicylic acid exfoliants. They’re both good salicylic acid products, but they have slight differences beyond just the active ingredients.

Paula’s Choice BHA includes green tea extract which can help reduce hyperpigmentation and soothe irritation.

On the other hand, Naturium’s includes gentle AHAs derived from fruit extracts to help with signs of aging.

Further, they have different preservative systems, but those won’t impact your skin much.

Naturium products tend to be less pricey than Paula’s Choice.

Skin Type

Overall, Naturium’s may be more suitable for people with mature skin while Paula’s Choice may be more suitable for people with dry skin.

That being said, both products are similar and offer nearly the same benefits.
