Whether for face care or body care, Neutrogena Moisturizer Hydro Boost has something for you.
Formulated with hyaluronic acid for intense moisturizing power that won’t clog pores, Hydroboost moisturizer can work for different skin types.
Today, I’ll cover 5 of my favorites:
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel with Hyaluronic Acid for Dry Skin
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream with Hyaluronic Acid
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 50
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hand Gel Cream
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Eye Cream

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost line is generally better for oily skin, combination skin, and normal skin.
However, hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate are some of my favorite ingredients for dry skin and sensitive skin anyways.
In general, the average rating value for this line is high. The people that love it really love it.
Additionally, for sustainability, they recently removed the window and plastic tray packaging to make it easier for recycling!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel with Hyaluronic Acid for Dry Skin

How often do you get a velvety smooth primer moisturizer with hyaluronic acid from a dermatologist recommended brand?
Formulated with hyaluronic acid, a hydrator found naturally in your skin, this oil free gel moisturizer is a great addition to a daily skincare routine.
I love a hydrating water gel face moisturizer with a power of a cream for acne prone skin.
Apply evenly in the morning to live your best life with a hydrated day.
Don’t forget – this can also be a neck moisturizer just like other hydrating products. However, depending on your skin type, the formula might not be rich enough for you.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream with Hyaluronic Acid

Everyone’s skin needs to be moisturized at least once a day. What better way to do it that with a hydrator naturally found in your body already?
This body gel cream absorbs quickly like a gel. Plus, it will provide you with long lasting moisture but is lightweight enough to use on your skin in the summer.
Remember, moisturized skin is happy skin!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 50

A hyaluronic acid moisturizer that will instantly quench dry skin and has SPF? Sign me up.
Neutrogena Hydro SPF provides the long lasting moisturizing power of a cream but it won’t clog pores.
I mean, hyaluronic acid for dry skin is such a no brainer.
Since SPF is basically just moisturizer with UV filters in it, it makes sense to formulate it as a hydrating water gel.
This Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel face moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and UV filters can keep your skin smooth and wears well under makeup.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hand Gel Cream

A hand cream with humectants that boost’s skin’s hydration level by pulling water into your skin’s surface is ideal!
This stuff quenches dry skin types and has silicones to lock in moisturizer to keep you hydrated all day.
Even though Neutrogena Hydro Boost absorbs quickly like a gel, it has the hydrating power of a cream.
This oil free noncomedogenic gel moisturizer does have fragrance, so people with sensitive skin should be careful to keep it away from your face and neck.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Caffeine Eye Gel Cream

Product manufacturers love making eye creams nearly as much as oil free non comedogenic face moisturizers.
This Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel moisturizer is formulated to be paraben free and fragrance free. The formula absorbs quickly like a hydrating water gel.
As a bonus, it’s formulated with caffeine which will help reduce the look of dark cirlces around your eyes.
You can never go wrong with a good face moisturizer with hyaluronic acid
What I Don’t Like From the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Line
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Compostable Cleansing Makeup Remover Wipes

If you’re wearing makeup, you do need to remove it before applying a moisturizer.
The compostable element does make for easier recycling, but in general, I don’t like makeup wipes.
The product formulas are harsh on the skin, and you shouldn’t be tugging at your face and neck anyways. This is especially true for people with dry skin or sensitive skin.
The hyaluronic acid in the formula doesn’t mean much here because you’re not leaving it on your face. You’re just wiping at the makeup on your skin’s surface.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Niacinamide Serum

This Neutrogena Hydro Boost serum is fragrance free which I appreciate.
But in general, I think niacinamide serums are overkill. Yes, niacinamide boost’s skin’s hydration level, and this formula absorbs quickly like a gel.
However, I just think it’s an unnecessary step in your skin routine.
But I wish these product manufacturers would just formulate their regular unique water gel formula like this.
The combination of hyaluronic acid and niacinamide quenches dry skin
Don’t Forget To . . .
. . . wash your face!
For a moisturizer to work its best, it must be applied to clean, damp skin.

In Conclusion

Hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate are ideal ingredients for all skin types to keep you hydrated all day.
If you haven’t tried a hyaluronic acid moisturizer already, a water gel formula that quenches dry skin from a dermatologist recommended brand might be just what your skincare routine needs.
Remember, you can double your face moisturizer with hyaluronic acid into a neck moisturizer cream. You shouldn’t neglect your neck or your upper chest in your daily skincare routine after all!
Other drugstore brands you might like include CeraVe and Cetaphil.
